Cashpoint Denmark has rebranded as Merkur Bets as parent company Merkur Group continues to align its international sports betting operations under one identity. The Danish relaunch also introduces a new digital platform supplied by EveryMatrix.
Retail and online under one system
The platform is designed to connect the operator’s retail and digital sportsbook operations and introduces an online casino offering for the first time. Around 200 betting shops are also being updated to reflect the Merkur Bets brand. The company is replacing its previous in-house software with a common technology platform and refreshed customer interfaces.
Cashpoint Denmark has operated since 2012 and is described in the report as the country’s largest land-based sports betting operator, with more than half of that segment. Denmark is the first market in a wider migration plan, with Merkur operations in Belgium, Germany and Austria also expected to move to EveryMatrix technology.
Market significance
The move combines brand consolidation, platform modernisation and vertical expansion. Affiliates covering Denmark should update brand references and monitor the operator’s online casino launch, while providers may see the deal as part of a broader effort to standardise technology across several European markets.
