Russian bookmaker BetBoom reported betting handle of approximately $2.54 billion for January to September 2026, up 17.3% from the same period last year. Customer payouts rose 18.2%, while gross gaming revenue increased 14.2% to around $549.6 million.
Growth and margin move in different directions
The figures were presented by company president Yuri Ermantraut on 3 November and reported by media covering the event; they were not taken from a published financial statement. Based on the disclosed amounts, the implied gross hold declined from approximately 22.26% in the first nine months of 2025 to 21.68% in 2026.
The difference illustrates why rising handle alone does not show whether an operator is improving its commercial performance. Payout rates, betting mix, promotional costs and taxes all influence the revenue retained from wagering activity.
Affiliate perspective
For partners, the distinction between acquisition volume and value per player is important when assessing traffic quality and negotiating CPA or hybrid arrangements. The reported figures do not establish that BetBoom will change affiliate terms, but they show why operators may scrutinise player value alongside headline growth.
