A-licence casino opens with 280 slots and eight table games
The Grand Casino Prilly has opened in the heart of the Malley district in the municipality of Prilly in Switzerland with 280 slots, 20 ETGs and eight table gaming options.
The 21st casino in Switzerland, the Grand Casino de Prilly, has three levels connected by a large central atrium, spread over 1500m2. French operator Tranchant and its partner Grand Casino Basel are targeting a turnover of around CHF40m. The total investment exceeds CHF60m, and the institution has committed to paying at least 450,000 francs per year to the city of Prilly.
The opening was marked by the traditional cutting of the blue ribbon, in the presence of the State Councillor Isabelle Moret, the Mayor of Prilly Luigi Sartorelli, Romain Tranchant, Benjamin TRANCHANT and Sébastien Tranchant, Rudolph Schiesser, Chairman of our Board of Directors, as well as Zaria Sorovic, our Director.
The casino opening is the culmination of several years of work, meetings and collective commitment. It was made possible thanks to the Federal Gaming Commission, the support of the Etat de Vaud and the Ville de Prilly, the commitment of the Tranchant family and the Groupe Tranchant, as well as the experience of the Grand Casino Basel.
An executive of Grand Casino Prilly said: “The Grand Casino Prilly is the first A-licence casino in the Lausanne area. Opened on October 1, 2026, in the heart of the Malley district, it deploys 300 playing positions, a bar and a restaurant on three levels, in a renovated building around an atrium. Holder of a federal concession until 2044, it relies on the experience of the Tranchant Group and the Grand Casino of Basel, and carries a recognised social concept (CarePlay label, partnership with the Centre for Excessive Gambling at the CHUV). The Casino employs 100 people.”
