Tonybet brought poker to its platform on October 6, giving one of the world’s most enduring card games a new home in Ireland

Tonybet launched poker on October 6, adding a third vertical to a platform spanning sports betting, live casino and slots. Irish players don’t need a new account or a new app – the game simply appears where they already play. Tonybet’s sportsbook covers 100+ sports with pre-match and live in-play markets, cashout and a Bet Builder, alongside a dedicated racing section covering Irish, UK and international meetings. The casino runs to more than 9,000 titles – slots, live dealer tables, game shows and jackpots – from more than 1,000 providers, including Pragmatic Play, Play’n GO, BGaming and Hacksaw. All of it sits behind a single account and wallet, on desktop and mobile, with responsible gaming tools – deposit
limits, session reminders, cooling-off periods and self-exclusion – built in across every market.

For its most engaged customers, a VIP programme adds dedicated account managers and tailored promotions. Poker became the newest seat at that table: a player-versus-player game alongside the
sportsbook and casino, in the same account players already hold.

At launch, players can choose between cash tables they can join and leave at any time, scheduled tournaments with buy-ins and prize pools, and Spins – fast-paced tournaments played with small fields. The game is powered by EvenBet Gaming, a B2B poker specialist behind more than 200 poker projects across 20 countries, and runs within the Tonybet site itself, with full rules for each format published on tonybet.com.

Former Republic of Ireland striker Tony Cascarino – who followed 88 international caps with a second career at the poker table, including two Grosvenor UK Poker Tour titles and more than $600,000 in live tournament winnings – welcomed the launch:

Cascarino said: “Poker gave me a second sporting life. It has everything football has – pressure, reading your opponent, holding your nerve when everything’s on the line – except you can play it into your eighties. As a Tonybet ambassador, it’s brilliant to see the brand bringing the game to its players. Pull up a chair; you won’t regret it.”
