Light & Wonder has completed the first-ever installation of its innovative cashless solution, RapidPlay, at Crystal Bay Casino in Crystal Bay, Nevada.

RapidPlay is approved for deployment in Nevada, with expansion into additional jurisdictions planned, subject to applicable regulatory approvals.

RapidPlay enables players to securely access funds directly at the slot machine using their personal mobile device. Through secure open banking technology, players can instantly transfer funds by simply scanning a QR code without requiring an app download or loyalty card. RapidPlay delivers a faster, more convenient player experience while helping operators modernise payments on the casino floor.

“The first installation of RapidPlay marks an exciting milestone for Light & Wonder as we continue to bring innovative payments technology to casino floors,” said Muthu Palanichamy, Senior Vice President & General Manager, Global Systems at Light & Wonder. “We’re proud to collaborate with Crystal Bay Casino to debut this solution and deliver a faster, more seamless experience for players while creating meaningful value for operators.”

“At Crystal Bay Casino, we’re always looking for innovative ways to enhance the guest journey,” said Eric Roe, General Manager at Crystal Bay Casino. “Being the first casino to deploy RapidPlay reflects our commitment to embracing new technology that adds convenience for our guests.”
