The venue will feature 150 HRMs, simulcast racing, and food and beverage offerings
Churchill Downs plans to relocate its existing historical racing machine (HRM) entertainment venue in Henry County, Virginia, following approval of a Special Use Permit by the Henry County Board of Zoning Appeals.
The new venue will be located north of the US Route 58 Bypass and east of Old Greensboro Road in Henry County, near NASCAR’s Martinsville Speedway. The venue is expected to feature 150 HRMs, simulcast racing, and food and beverage offerings. The new venue will replace the existing Rosie’s Game Room facility in Collinsville, Virginia, which currently operates 37 HRMs. CDI is in the process of finalizing the design and plans for this new venue.
“We appreciate the support of Henry County as we continue to build upon our investment in the Commonwealth with a larger, purpose-built entertainment venue,” said Bill Carstanjen, Chief Executive Officer of CDI. “With convenient access to Martinsville Speedway and growing markets across the North Carolina border, this new venue will be well positioned to attract visitors, create jobs, and generate additional economic activity for the region.”
The news came as CDI reported a third-quarter 2026 revenue increase of $10m due to an $11m increase from its Kentucky HRM venues and a $1m increase from Churchill Downs Racetrack, partially offset by a $1m decrease from its Virginia HRM venues and a $1m decrease from its New Hampshire venues. The Kentucky HRM increase was due to a $7m increase from CDI‘s Southwestern Kentucky venues, a $2 million increase from our Northern Kentucky venues, a $1m increase from its Western Kentucky venues, and a $1 million increase from its Louisville venues. The Virginia HRM decrease was due to a $6 million net decrease from CDI’s Central Virginia venues, primarily from increased competition, partially offset by a $4 million net increase from our Northern Virginia venues and a $1m increase at our Western Virginia venue. The New Hampshire decrease was due to the closure of its temporary Casino Salem venue during the construction of the new Rockingham Grand Casino venue.
